You scored as Evangelical Holiness/Wesleyan. You are an evangelical in the Wesleyan tradition. You believe that God's grace enables you to choose to believe in him, even though you yourself are totally depraved. The gift of the Holy Spirit gives you assurance of your salvation, and he also enables you to live the life of obedience to which God has called us. You are influenced heavly by John Wesley and the Methodists.
What's your theological worldview? created with QuizFarm.com |
Apparently I'm more Wesleyan, Neo-Orthodox, Roman Catholic, and Pentecostal than I am Reformed Evangelical. Yikes... but before any of you at WHM decide I need to return home prematurely, take the test for yourself and see where you fit. You might be surprised.

I'm 86% pomo, then wesleyan (but i dont really know what that means), Roman Catholic, and classic liberal. It might be a little skewed cause i didnt always understand what they were asking...fun quiz thanks!
Dude I came out Reformed Evangelical, but only at 64%. That's a tough quiz. It would have been much easier if it was yes/no questions. I found myself in the middle on most of them. See my full response at seelifedifferently.blogspot.com
i think i'm glad i didn't quite understand all of those questions. i'm equal parts emergent/pomo and reformed evangelical (71%), followed by wesleyan, neo orthodox and roman catholic. i was more fundamentalist than charismatic... which makes me a little uncomfortable, and i don't actually think it's true.
who's bishop spong?
So, my score was pretty predicable. I was 79% Reformed Evangelical, 68% Neo-Orthodox(must be my theology of preaching), 50% Po-MO.
By the way, Bishop Spong is the guy who denies Trinity, Incarnation, Resurrection and thinks that Xianity is all about love. The definition of love being whatever you think it is. His famous book is "Why Christianity Must Change or Die"
You scored as Neo orthodox.
You are neo-orthodox. You reject the human-centredness and scepticism of liberal theology, but neither do you go to the other extreme and make the Bible the central issue for faith. You believe that Christ is God's most important revelation to humanity, and the Trinity is hugely important in your theology. The Bible is also important because it points us to the revelation of Christ. You are influenced by Karl Barth and P T Forsyth.

Thanks everyone for your responses! It's interesting to see the diversity among people I'd see as very close to my heart. Sorry for my delay in responding...haven't been on the internet all week, simply through busyness.
Thanks to Jerry for the info on Bishop Spong. Didn't know who the heck he was, so I said his teaching was unimportant...see, it is possible to get the "right" answer by accident.
Also, appologies for the way this post didn't fit with the side-bar and pushed all the posts below the side-bar (at least on the Windows machine at my center).
I am Wesleyan...in your face Jerry!!!
I seem to have strayed from my Baptist roots ;-)
You scored as Reformed Evangelical. You are a Reformed Evangelical. You take the Bible very seriously because it is God's Word. You most likely hold to TULIP and are sceptical about the possibilities of universal atonement or resistible grace. The most important thing the Church can do is make sure people hear how they can go to heaven when they die.

You scored as Emergent/Postmodern.
You are Emergent/Postmodern in your theology. You feel alienated from older forms of church, you don't think they connect to modern culture very well. No one knows the whole truth about God, and we have much to learn from each other, and so learning takes place in dialogue. Evangelism should take place in relationships rather than through crusades and altar-calls. People are interested in spirituality and want to ask questions, so the church should help them to do this.

I'm glad to hear that others found this quiz difficult.. I had to do some goggling to find out about some folks (like Bishop Spong).
